The Ohio Afterschool Network, with generous support from the National League of Cities (NLC), cordially invites you to an outcomes-focused summit which will illustrate how policy makers and state and municipal leaders can leverage Afterschool and Summer Learning programs as solutions to city issues.

This invitation is extended to all mayors, city council members and county officials within the state of Ohio. Local elected officials are encouraged to bring small teams with them to help strategize and develop action plans. Teams may include the city manager, mayor’s chief of staff, senior city department leaders, school district leadership, police chief or other juvenile justice officials, health and human service departments, college and career planning agencies and other directors of key community-based organizations that offer Afterschool or Summer Learning programming.

Three key areas will be addressed that affect communities across Ohio: economic workforce development, juvenile crime and public safety, and youth education.
